During my stay, I had a lovely meal after a day exploring the nearby Dartington Hall Gardens, and the warm atmosphere made me feel welcome despite being just a passing guest, which added to my enjoyment of the stay. The hotel is ideally situated for anyone who loves walking and discovering local landmarks, with Ashburton Museum just over 1 km away and the River Dart Country Park a short drive for a scenic stroll.

A good update to the décor is overdue!!! The noise from external sources really interrupts any desire for tranquility!!! Sluggish service during peak times leaves a lot to be desired!!!

It was just a top selection for a momentary pause in Ashburton with good value for cost. The service was absolutely fabulous from arrival to departure. Parking seemed ample, which is a big plus.

The carvery at Dartmoor Lodge was impressive with a variety of delicious meats and attentive service. some areas felt a bit worn, and my room had noisy plumbing. Even so, the atmosphere was enjoyable, making it a worthwhile place to visit.
